Back-to-back Qatar titles for Murray
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
DOHA, Qatar -- Scotland's Andy Murray won his second straight Qatar Open on Saturday, defeating American Andy Roddick 6-4, 6-2 in the final.
Murray showed no signs of a back injury that bothered him during Friday's semifinal win over Switzerland's Roger Federer, converting all three of his break points and never looking in danger of losing the final.
Murray broke Roddick to go up 3-2 in the opening set, and used two more breaks in the second to take a 4-1 lead. Roddick's only break point came with Murray serving for the match, but the Briton saved it with an ace and then clinched the win with a backhand winner down the line.
